The Macular Degeneration Association will be returning to beautiful Asheville, NC on Saturday August 18th, 2018. Our educational series titled ” Your Eye Sight Matters!” is an outstanding educational program connecting retina specialists to the participants.
We will be hosting a FREE awareness program cover the following subjects: age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema and genetic testing & AMD.
The program starts at 8:30 a.m. with registration and breakfast and will end at 12:00 p.m.
The Macular Degeneration Association provides a supportive learning environment for people living with macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease.
This half-day program offers a forum to hear from a prominent doctor about the latest research, and new treatments, therapies, and clinical trials.
At our programs you will hear from a patient ambassador about their journey with their eye disease and learn about their successful coping strategies.
You will also have the chance to speak with other participants to learn about their successes and failures.
Local vendors will be available to share valuable information..
This program will feature Retina Specialist, Jeremiah Brown,Jr., M.D.
Greg Hines will be speaking about Genetic Testing & AMD
Dr. Brown practices at Brown Retina Institute in Schertz, TX

There will be a $25.00 raffle at the end of the program- must be present to win.
We will also have a number of cookbooks available for purchase, this is a fundraiser for the organization. The cookbook is titled: Cooking with eyefoods.
