Luckily, there are some simple daily hacks you can implement in order to promote a balanced lifestyle.

If your job requires you to work in front of a computer throughout the day, your eye muscles will be put under a lot of strain.
Research shows that between 50% and 90% of people who work at a computer screen have at least one of these symptoms:

The 20-20-20 rule, is a simple, yet effective way to prevent or reduce eye fatigue and strain.
How Does it Work?
Every 20 minutes of screen time, you should look away at something at least 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. By implementing these regular screen breaks, it gives your eyes some time to rest and prevent them from straining.
Some Helpful Tips
- Every 20 minutes when you take your eyes off the computer screen, remember to blink regularly. Blinking helps you produce tears that hydrate your eyes.
- When you look at something 20 feet away, try stand up and move around whist you do it. This will not only help aid eye strain, but prevent neck, back and shoulder pain.
3. During your 20 second break, make sure you have no screen interaction whatsoever. When you get back to work, adjust the brightness, text size and contrast on your computer settings in order to reduce eye strain and fatigue….
