By Dr. Joshua Mali
Recently, I was honored to be awarded by the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS) with the new Fellow of the ASRS (FASRS) designation. The FASRS is awarded based on criteria that recognizes members in good standing who have demonstrated consistent commitment to the Society, expertise in the management of vitreoretinal disorders, and the highest ethical and professional standards.
The American Society of Retina Specialists is the largest organization of retina specialists in the world, representing over 3,000 physicians in all 50 US states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and 63 countries. The Society serves as a national advocate and primary source of clinical and scientific information and education for its members.
It is truly an honor to be a proud member of this distinguished organization and the leading professional society for the field of retina. As a retinal surgeon, achieving honors like this helps to demonstrate my dedication to my patients by providing them with the highest quality of healthcare through amazing surgical skills and the best patient care in the world.
