Tips and tricks seminar for residents living with low vision
Are you, a friend or family member struggling with the loss of vision? Learn practical solutions to handling daily activities such as: cooking, cleaning, transportation and much more.
The White Sands Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind invites you to a seminar on living independently with low or no vision. The seminar is April 27 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Saint John’s Episcopal Church Dining Hall, 11114 Indiana Ave.
Presenters will speak from firsthand experience on different techniques and tricks to solving life’s everyday challenges.
Participants will be given the opportunity to ask questions on a “one-on-one” basis.
Coffee and soft drinks will be provided. Attendees are urged to bring a sack lunch to take advantage of the informal lunchtime discussion with presenters and other participants. Tote bags will be given to attendees containing some useful low vision items and resources. Door prizes will be given throughout the seminar.
