The launch of PreserVision AREDS3 comes as the National Eye Institute is laying the groundwork for a follow-up to its Age-Related Eye Disease Study 2, the landmark nutrient study on which Bausch + Lomb’s previous supplement was based. B vitamins and other nutritional factors will be included in the supplement tested in the new trial.
PreserVision AREDS3 contains eight B vitamins: thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pantothenic acid (B5), vitamin B6, biotin (B7), folate (B9), and vitamin B12.
