Speaker: Richard Hamilton, MD-Dr. Hamilton is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has a strong interest in diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, complex retina detachments, flashes/floaters, and uveitis. Private Practice Retina Partners, Lakeland, FL. Dr. Hamilton is a Charter Member of the International Masters of Retina (IMOR). He belongs to the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retinal Specialists, American Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, and Polk County Medical Association. Dr. Hamilton has conducted over 100 teaching and speaking engagements with local, regional, national, and international groups. He has also published five abstracts with the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), two book chapters, and served as a principal or sub-investigator in over 200 clinical trials. Dr. Hamilton resides in Lakeland, Florida. He supports local high school athletics, the Polk Museum of Art, VISTE, and WeCare. He enjoys spending time with family, spectator sports, and movies, collecting books, traveling, and dining out.
