Featured Speaker: Jeffry Gerson, O.D., F.A.A.O., Medical Director for the Macular Degeneration Association, will be the presenter at this program. Dr. Jeffry Gerson graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 1997, after which he completed a VA residency focused on low vision and ocular disease. He has been in several different practice settings, including a retina referral practice where he participated in several large clinical trials.
Currently, Dr. Gerson is in private practice, a collaboration between ODs and MDs. He sees primary care patients and emphasizes retinal care in his practice. He enjoys working with 4th-year optometry interns and the challenges they present. He still participates in clinical trials and uses various diagnostic modalities.
